Due: Espresso Organica

Cafe series II! I should really be writing the rest of my reports up. Last night's all nighter didn't really prove to be very efficient, with late owls sending me youtube clips out of sympathy for my otherwise boring night of work. I did manage to get some work done though, it's not all in vain, but I just got... more...

So this cafe is located at Concord, which isn't far from my place really. Visited after badminton one Sunday, this place is quite amazing.

I realised a lot of baristas like to take the easy way out. When someone orders a cappucino, they don't bother with latte art because they just cover the whole thing with cocoa powder. They don't do it right. What you can do is, you have a shot of espresso, and then before pouring the steamed milk, shake cocoa powder into the cup of espresso before making the latte art.

They roast their own beans at Espresso Organica! Which means that when you enter the place, the smell of roasting beans just surrounds you completely. It's like being in a yakiniku or korean bbq, except with the smell of freshly roasted coffee beans. Yum.

Pizza! Coffee and pizza, really can't get enough of that combination.

From 06.12
Wood fire oven pizza, no less!

From 06.12
Pepperoni, mushroom, heaps of cheese, and stuff that looks like minced beef but not too sure anymore. It's been a while.

When ordering this apple crumble pizza, the waiter paused and said he'll take that order later, after we've had the pizza and coffee, in case we change our minds and got too full for dessert. Challenge accepted.

Bring on the apple crumble pizza! Yes, we finished it. No problem!

They sold little containers of biscotti and cookies at the counter too.

Ninja skill level Asian, this photo was taken with my unnamed phone camera while paying... the chef was even looking my way, posing next to the wood fire oven! Definitely worth a try, this cafe has great pizza, great desserts, great food apparently though I haven't tried their dinner menu, and great coffee with freshly roasted beans. You can't ask for more from a cafe really~
